Hotels

Why is much of this site dedicated to New York City hotels? Visitors to New York come for many reasons. Tourists, business people, artists, journalists, diplomats: the list is endless. But everyone traveling to The Big Apple is faced with the same dilemma: where to stay? A businessperson intending to spend a great deal of time on Wall Street probably won't want to stay in a hotel in the Bronx. Art dealers would probably be better accommodated in SoHo or Midtown, rather than on Staten Island. And that's just the geography! Some visitors are primarily interested in hotel prices or amenities. We've categorized hotels as discount, moderate, luxury, pet friendly, and near an airport. Other visitors want to stay in a particular neighborhood. If you fall in this category you will find our extensive breakdown of New York City regions helpful. Most of the regional hotels featured here are located in one of the neighborhoods of Manhattan. Airport hotels are the principal exception as the three major airports are located in other boroughs. Think about what it is you are looking for, and where, and then use the resources here to research some New York City hotels.
